The process is much easier and faster than if you were doing it using traditional hand finishing tools, and typically much less sanding is required afterwards. We recommend using 3-in-1 machine oil (do not use WD-40, as it is caustic and will damage rubber and urethane gaskets over time).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFor easier use (and less potential mess), only fill up the nail spotter to approximately 80% of its capacity so that it sits just below the compound dispensing slot.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe correct compound thickness for nail spotting is all about balance.
